TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ABC SHEET METAL

ABC SHEET METAL PROCUREMENT QUALITY CLAUSES, 10-2013

This document will provide suppliers with specific details for both quality and general requirements for products and services provided to ABC Sheet Metal(ABC). References made on each purchase order line will correspond to numbers within this document and are in addition to the requirements noted on any supplied drawing(s) or specification(s). This document is part of ABC’s purchase order terms & conditions and by acceptance of PO, the supplier agrees to comply with these requirements. Failure to comply may result in rejection reports, corrective actions, payment delays, product returns and/or chargebacks. Please contact ABC buyer regarding any questions and/or clarification.

Q1 General

1.1 *Supplier shall maintain a quality management system that is compliant or comparable to (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.) At Min. the supplier shall:

  • Perform a contact review to ensure PO requirements can be met, by supplier, before production begins.
  • Maintain a calibration control system that allows for the monitoring of all measuring & test equipment used in the execution of ABC Pos.
  • Maintain a system to provide suitable equipment, tools, & gages to produce, process, fabricate, etc. to meet ABC PO requirements.
  • Maintain a written procedure for detection, identification, segregation, & disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Maintain a document control system capable of retaining all pertinent contract documents, production & test records in legible condition.

* ABC (*) approved suppliers exempt from QMS Compliance requirement as applicable. See ABC Approved Supplier Eval. List.

1.2 Supplier shall flow down of PO requirements to sub-contractors. Sub-Contractors may be subject to ABC approval for Please verify with buyer.
1.3 Supplier shall notify ABC of Non-Conforming products. ABC will determine MRB disposition and authorization.
1.4 Changes or substitution of product or materials are not permitted.
1.5 Suppliers inspection & test equipment calibrations shall be in accordance with ISO 17025 & traceable to NIST.

Q2 Certifications

2.1 Certificate of conformance / Certificate of Compliance: The supplier shall provide a certified document stating that the supplied goods or services meet the required specifications.
2.2 Certificates of Origin Required: The supplier shall provide a document that certifies the shipments country of origin.
2.3 Certificate of Manufacture: The supplier shall provide an authenticated or notorized document certifying that the goods ordered were produced by the Supplier.
2.4 Special Process Certification: The supplier shall provide certification of nondestructive testing, heat-treating, welding, plating, or other special processes required by the drawing or other specification.
2.5 M.T.R- Material Test Report Certifications required. Supplier shall provide “Typical” test data, (typical to mat’l type) to meet drawing or spec.
2.6 M.T.R- Material Test Report Certifications required. Supplier shall provide “Actual” test data, (Actual to mat’l Lot, Heat) to meet drawing or spec.
2.7 NDT Test Report, Supplier shall provide written report of actual Test results proving conformance to drawing or spec.
2.8 Paint Record Required,Supplier shall provide written report of actual Test results proving conformance to drawing or spec.
2.9 Mechanical Test Report, Supplier shall provide written report of actual mechanical test results proving conformance to drawing or spec.

Q3 Documentation / Requirements

3.1 1st Article Inspection report, Supplier shall provide written report of 1st article inspection results proving conformance to drawing or spec.
3.2 Dimensional Inspection resport, Supplier shall provide written report of actual Dimensional results proving conformance to drawing or spec.
3.3 Personnel Qualification Records, Supplier shall provide written records of personnel qualification Test results proving
Conformance to spec. 3.4 Material Traceability: The supplier shall provide material certification

Q4 Protection & Preservation of Product

4.1 Protection of Parts, Parts which require protection from damage during shipping & handling.
4.2 Inside Storage Protection, packaging shall meet requirements for inside storage to prevent damage during storage & handling.
4.3 Outside Storage Protection, packaging shall meet requirements for outside storage to prevent damage during storage & handling.
4.4 Long Term storage Protection,packaging shall meet requirements for long term outside storage to prevent damage during storage & handling.

Q5 Witness, Source Inspection

5.1 Source Inspection / Witness notification, Supplier shall notify ABC atleast 5 days prior to mat’l readiness for inspection or witness of test or processing.

Q6 Regulatory Requirements

6.1 DFAR, Product must meet DFAR requirements.
6.2 ITAR, Product must meet ITAR requirements.
